AnCaBu50 aims to enable owners of historic mechanical analog cameras to creatively use these fine devices even when the exposure meter is broken. The app turns a smartphone into an exposure meter that measures the light reflected by the object. From the result of that gauging, AnCaBu50 deduces a solid exposure proposal, using a simple program automatic. Moreover, this proposal can be changed freely in any photographic parameters, in a sense of a “What, if...” analysis. Also, the effects to the depth of field is calculated immediately. Finally, the optimal exposure settings are transferred manually to the analog camera device, and the shooting may begin. But even without any shooting situation in practice, AnCaBu50 may be used to verify the correctness of historic cameras exposure meters, and enables everyone everywhere and at any time to train his “photographic eye”.

What AnCaBu50 is:

* a stand-alone exposure meter for historic mechanical cameras
* a test tool to verify the correctness of a cameras exposure metering hardware
* a light situation analysis tool, and a “what, if...” simulator for all photographic parameters
* a trainer and instructor for your “photographic eye”

What AnCaBu50 is not: it is

* not an app to take pictures with your smartphone
* not an app to edit existing pictures on your smartphone
